Job Title: Security Systems/Low Voltage Technician (Entry-Level & Experienced Welcome)

Location: Anniston, AL (Servicing Northeast Alabama)

Company: TCI Connect

About the Role:

Are you good with your hands and interested in technology? Do you know your way around a basic computer network, or do you just enjoy taking things apart and fixing them?

TCI Connect is one of the top alarm, low-voltage, and IT companies in Northeast Alabama, and we are growing. We are looking for a Security Systems & Low Voltage Technician to join our team.

We are not just looking for people who already have years of experience. If you have the right attitude, a clean background, and a mechanical or tech-savvy mindset, we will pay to train you and sponsor your State of Alabama alarm licenses. You will learn how to install and program the networks, cameras, and access systems that keep local businesses and schools safe.

What You Will Do Every Day:

  • Install the Hardware: Safely run and pull cable through commercial buildings to build out voice, data, and security networks.

  • Mount & Setup Equipment: Mount security cameras, door access card readers, and intrusion alarms.

  • Program & Test: Learn to program the systems, test the network connections, and make sure everything is running smoothly.

  • Help the Customer: Walk customers through how to use their new system and answer their questions politely and professionally.

  • Manage Your Gear: Keep your company vehicle organized and make sure you have the right inventory and tools for the day's jobs.

The "Must-Haves" (Hard Requirements):

Because of the security work we do, there are a few strict requirements for this job:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (you will be driving a company vehicle).

  • You must be able to pass a strict state and federal criminal background check and drug screen (this is legally required by the State of Alabama to get your alarm license).

  • Comfortable working on ladders, in varying environments (like attics or warehouses), using power tools, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

What Makes You a Great Fit (No past alarm experience required, but these help):

  • Vocational or Trade School Preferred: If you attended a vocational trade school, community college, or high school CTE program for electronics, electrical work, HVAC, or IT, you are exactly who we are looking for.

  • Tech-Savvy: You understand basic computer networks, IP addresses, or just have a knack for troubleshooting electronics.

  • Hands-On Experience: Any background in cabling, electrical work, auto repair, construction, or an IT helpdesk is a huge plus.

  • Team Player: You are a self-starter who can solve problems on your own, but you know how to communicate and work well with a crew.

What We Offer:

  • Paid Training & Licensing: We will cover the costs for your Alabama Electronic Security Board of Licensure (AESBL) certifications and ongoing industry training.

  • Competitive Pay: Hourly pay based on your current experience, with a clear path to earn more as you gain skills and certifications.

  • Full Benefits Package: Health, Dental, and Vision insurance.

  • Peace of Mind: Accidental Death and Disability insurance.

  • Future Planning: 401(K) Retirement plan.

  • Time Off: Paid vacation and personal time.

How to Apply:

If you want to build a real career in technology and physical security with a company that values its team, we want to hear from you. Send your resume to jobs@tciconnect.com.
